Getting a new puppy 🐕

We have a jack russel mix and he's getting a bit older. I think hes almost 8 years old. We also have our first baby and she is 4 months old. At what age would you recommend introducing a new puppy to the house? (I just saw an ad for a chinwa puppy) please leave a comment!tia
