What's The Norm?

So my partner and I had a baby 6 months ago. Before I became pregnant we would seal the deal AT LEAST once a week. Once I started to show and definitely after I started feeling our little one he started getting weird about sex and I understood thinking we would go back to normal after she was born. Well it's been six months and 4 intimate moments later i am extremely frustrated. He tells me it's because of our bills that we now have since our student loans are coming up. We have sex maybe once a month if that! What is the norm of couples living together to have sex with the baby in her nursery? Are bills really the issue or is the fact my body isn't back to normal the issue?
