What's the best age gap between siblings?

Whatever works for you. I'm starting all over. My son's are 20 and 16 and I'm expecting a baby girl in August. They are excited.

It really depends on their personalities. There's 2 years between myself and my older sister and we just barely started getting along. She is 25 and lives in Ohio and I'm 23 and live in Colorado but she still finds ways to be rude to me. My brother is 2 years younger than me and we have been the best of friends our whole lives and ended up sharing rooms until we were in 3rd and 5th grade because my sister never learned to be nice to us. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I liked the 3 year gap between my sister and I. Close enough we could play together but far enough that we could also have our own interests as well. We did fight occasionally but that's pretty much all siblings anyway

That depends on what you want! I know someone who wanted their children to be close in age and she now has 2 boys aged 3 and 4. It was very hard but in a few years time she was done doing diapers ect.

My son will arrive when my daughter is almost 6. A lot later then planned but I did wanted my first to be a bit independant before Starting to think about babies again. I didn't want 2 kids crying at the same time (all the time), getting up at night, do double diapers, paying for daycare twice and most of all: I wanted my daughter to be aware of what was going to happen. I can explain why she needs to be quiet, why she has to wait, I can ask her to get a diaper or something and she can help giving bottles if she wants to. She knows she has to share and also had a lot of time with mom and dad alone (&got a lot of time to get spoiled by grandparents 😄) 
 This is our perfect situation but might not be for  someone else. Don't think there's a magic number that's perfect for everyone 😊

Mine will be almost 18 months apart, we wanted 2 years or less between them. I just happened to get pregnant almost immediately after we started trying lol .

The one that you can manage as a parent. I know families with siblings close in age who get along great, families where they don't. Same with siblings that have big gaps
