Dilemma

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 8 years now, we love each other to death. The problem is that he wants to propose to me but my parents do not accept our relationship just because he is black. They think I'm too pretty for him. I've tried everything to convince them and show them that I love him a lot and that he does too but my mom keeps telling me that I gotta choose between her and him. I do not want to loose my parents neither my baby. Any advice?
