How do I know when I'm ready for birth Control pills? I'm not in a relationship anymore and I don't have sex anymore but I'm so tired of my period not coming as expected, and I want to have the responsibility of taking these pills. I feel like I am ready and comfortable to talk to my mom about it too. I'm 16, about to be 17.

If you feel that you are mature enough and responsible enough to take the pills everyday at the same time. Then you may be ready.

All my sisters and I got them when we were  15. To us it was just like medicine you take for cramps and acne, the contraceptive part was kind of just like an added bonus at the time. If you get a one with a low dose it can still regulate your period and hormones without having any bad side effects.
