Twins...one crib or two?

Question

Please only answer if you have actually had twins and have experience. I'm wondering what parents of twins have found worked best. Thanks!

I know you want parents of twins only to reply, but my mothers best friend had twins (twice!) and for the first set of twins she used one crib with a crib spacer. It gave both babies ample space to their own without having to worry about waking each other up with movement. With her second set, used the same thing! She literally swears by it!

I don't have twins, but my good friend does! She had one crib until they were about 6-7 months and then got another because they would wake each other up!

Two. Because they move a lot and will always wake each other up.  One of my friends tried using only one crib with her twins and she said it was pyre chaos. One falls asleep,  the other starts moving,  wakes the other one up,  now both cry. . And it goes on allll night long.  They need their own space and they need to be left to move around without disrupting the other one.

I was a twin and my mom has us in one crib for 6 months. Then she had such a hard time separating us that she moved us into toddler beds so we could still sleep together. 😂

My twins are two weeks old and we have two cribs. They each sleep in their own crib and they are almost sleeping all the way through the night! I think it's better for them to have their own. It reduces the risks of sids and they don't get codependent on sleeping with each other. I bought the cribs that are 4 in 1 so it will be their crib their toddler bed, a day bed and their full size bed.

I'd start with one babies really do not move in the beginning. Later you could get two

I am currently almost 28 weeks pregnant with twin girls but my aunt has boy/girl twins and she used one crib for awhile and then when they started moving around more before she could get another crib the boy had started to roll out of no where one day and rolled on the girl and almost suffocated her and then when she finally got a second crib she had a lot of trouble getting them to sleep at night because they had gotten use to sleeping together. They are okay now but I would definitely recommend two cribs!

My sister has twins. Two Cribs work Better for them because the girls sleep differently. So one is not waking the other up moving or kicking or talking and vice versa.

They shared a pack n play in our room the first four months or so. After that they were too squirmy and would accidentally hit each other or roll into each other. At that point we moved them to their own bedroom and separate cribs.

My SIL has twins. While they were very little she used one crib but once they were mobile they were crawling all over each other and kept each other up so she switched to two.
