progesterone woes

My doctor gave me progesterone even though my levels were fine at 5 weeks. He said more won't hurt. Well...I don't think he's ever taken it because more makes me sick.as.a.dog. Like I can't function, laying in bed, can't feed myself or my family. I "forgot" to take it last night and today I've had a normal level of first trimester discomfort. My 8 week appt is Thursday. I called to ask the nurse what I should do but she hasn't called back. Should I stop taking it until I can talk to the doctor Thursday?
