Baby watching nursery rhymes a lot?

Is it ok that i let my 4mth old watch nursery rhymes most of the time? He does have playtime, but mostly spend his time on nursery rhymes. He loves it, loves it more than playtime.

He would get upset if we bother him. He watches it on the tablet and tv. I put the light on low.

They have done studies which suggest that a baby under 2 should have no screen time, the studies suggest it's bad for ocular development. It also does not promote creative thinking, gross motor, fine motor, or movement. 
Babies can listen to music, but they should not be looking at screens.

I mean I think that's a little young. But it's only my opinion. I didn't let my daughter watch the tv/iPad till she was a year old and I'd only play it for her about 20 everyday. Other than that I'd play her music and she loved dancing to it.

My son gets 1 show a day. 30 min and then it's no more screen time. He's very independent and active and loves to play. He has no favorite show like most kids his age and I love it. I've always limited his TV time to almost 0, we play and read books and work on flash cards. I would say some is ok but not for majority of baby's time to be spent watching them

Many pediatricians are against screen time before the age of 1. Try to engage your child in activities that don't involve screens.

My daughter loves nursery rhyme shows. I don't see a problem. She also loves to play and eat good food and be outside. I don't let her watch it all day but I'm not gonna limit it to her 10 min or whatever.

You want to encourage play as much as possible and limit watching nursery times. Play helps the baby's brain functions and motor skills.

10mins a day....probably okay.......most of the time is definitely not okay though. We limit screen time to almost 0

I'm not sure why so many mothers ask if it's ok when the guidelines clearly state it's not.  ... I get that some babies are fussy but honestly it's not worth it
