So I got into UC San Diego and I really want to go there. I've already commited and everything, but my boyfriend doesn't want me to leave. We've been together for over 2 years now, and i truly intend to spend the rest of my life with him. However, he doesn't think long distance is going to work out, and by us being away from each other with only weekends together, it would make him incredibly sad. He doesn't really have friends, and im kinda all he has. I don't want to hurt him because I love him so much and he's one of the most important thinks in my life. But at this point the only way I'd be staying here is if I go to community college, a cal state near me, or take a year off. There's nothing wrong with those options, but I don't think they're for me. UC San Diego is where my heart is telling me to go, but I don't want to hurt the person I love the most. What should I do?
