Contractions, Incompetent Cervix, & Irritable Uterus
I hope someone can help me. I'm 32 weeks. I had an emergency cerclage placed at 21 weeks because I was dilating and my cervix was shortening.
On Saturday night I went into L&D because I had 4 strong contractions in one hour. They monitored me for three hours. They picked up real contractions (that lasted longer than 30 seconds) and smaller ones that indicated I had irritable uterus.
It's now Wednesday night & I'm STILL having contractions despite drinking tons of water, resting when I can, and taking Tylenol.
I'm at a loss of what to do. I'm just exhausted from the contractions. I'm going to call my OBGYN tomorrow and inform him. So far my cervix hasn't changed and my fetal fibronectin tests have been negative. (Last test was two weeks ago.)
Anyone been through something similar? When did you deliver? Any signs I should look out for that don't include bleeding or water breaking?
