Was i wrong?..

I have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half. We are long distance and we dont have the same religion. Religion was something we always were careful about talking about. But today, i was telling him something that worried me and he was telling me that the bible is just a book. He kept asking me how old is the bible because he doesnt think what thw bible says means anything now. I got upset with him. He disrespected my religion. Was i wrong to get mad?
