What do you feed your baby during the day??

Question

I have started solids. I make my own baby food and I feed her a little bit twice a day. Her favorite is banana and sweet potatoe and carrots. but that's all she has really eat. Do I feed her something different each time? Idk if this is a,dumb question lol. Just curious what your babies are eating when you feed them.

Weve been eating a little bit of pureed solids for a while now. We started once a day same food for 3 days. (see if there is any reaction) once you have introduced them you can start mixing and being super creative. After a while we started 2 times a day. Morning is oatmeal some times with fruit. Night is veg. We are going to try meat on monday.

So far babe likes his veggies but not his fruit. Which is weird cuz thats all i craved when i was preggers 😋 go figure

I do half a jar of fruit in the morning and half a jar of veggies at night. Finish the other half of the jars the next day and then I switch to a different fruit and veggie after that
Not sure if that's the right way but that's what I've been doing! 😉

I'm going super slow with solids. I introduce one flavor and stick to the same one for 3-4 days then introduce a new one and same length of days until he's tried most of the reccomended starter foods then we will try some stage 2 foods. He has tried pumpkin, banana, apple, avacado, pear, sweet potato, green beans and his new favorite yogurt ( whole milk organic baby yogurt ). I'll repeat the flavors again to get him used to it. We're just doing purées for another month before going into more thicker/ harder foods that he can suck and munch on. We just started eating purées twice a day and in a few weeks we will go up to three times a day.

My little ones like he's peachs, green beans, peas, butternut squash and avocados    I mix in prunes to avoid constipation because if I don't she will get it

Just thought I'd share my story about the annoying lady at Wic today! Well first off I've been feeding my baby solids for a couple weeks now and she's finally caught on (she's tongue tied). Well at my Wic appointment today the lady was asking me how often I feed her solids and how many bottles she's getting and I told her I only give her baby food when she will take it and the damn lady was like "You need to feed her solids for breakfast lunch and dinner, she only needs the bottle at nap time and bedtime." I was like wtf

We do solids at dinner only for this month. A new food every 3 or so days and will start mixing soon. We are doing a combo of  baby led weaning and purées.

My boys 6months and has shown hardly any interest in food until yesterday. We've tried pureed veg, jars and porridge etc but he's not interested. Yesterday I tried a piece of dry Rusk and he loved it. Then he noticed my boiled egg so I gave him some and he liked that too. I think I'm going to try this from now on, giving him whole foods like pieces of chicken and cooked veggies etc (mini portions of whatever we're eating) instead of purees. He seems to really enjoy them when he can feed himself.
