Yeah plenty of times, it's not awful but it's uncomfortable, especially changing toiletries.

On my last day yeah, so I didn't have to worry about changing. I know I will be too focused on other details to even realise I need to change my pad lol

i have, just make sure you change your pad/tampon/cup right before your trip and try not to have to do it again until you're coming down. the blood may or may not freak you out if you're an inexperienced tripper lol
