If you use social media, does your S/O make it clear they're taken by you?

Like some couples post pictures of themselves together, others comment on each other's pics all the time, some like to keep their relationship private from the world. What's your stance? Do you think it's mandatory? Do you feel upset when you're partner doesn't show you off?

I don't really care tbh.

We don't need to constantly post about eachother in order for our relationship to be real or valid. 
Just change your status to "in a relationship" and I'll be happy. Don't care about posting pictures, don't care about liking pictures, don't care about bragging or whatever.

the only social media my boyfriend has is snapchat, and he rarely uses it. im the one with the social media and i always post about him

My boyfriend and I have been together 5 years. We're also LDR and have been for the last 4 years. Most people are shocked when they realize we don't have a single picture of the two of us on Facebook and both have 'single' as our relationship status. But for us having our relationship on Facebook isn't for us. We don't need the world knowing all about us. It's our relationship. So it's not mandatory at all in my opinion- a actually prefer it not to be.

I don't have facebook. He has one but never uses it. I have instagram buy I never post about us or even have it on my profile that I'm with someone. I think of it as a more personal thing. Those who know us well enough know we're together anyway.

I don't care. My boyfriend uses his Facebook for school and to talk to friends. He doesn't have to claim me or anything. Most of who he talks to already knows we are together. I don't feel the need to put any of my life on social media, except for this app.
