Lots of questions

1. Baby takes lots of breaks and sometimes falls asleep during nursing. If I unlatch him or he unlatches himself and I put him down he starts to cry, so I know he's still hungry. How do I get him to be a more active nurser?

2. Sometimes baby grunts in bassinet after feeding. Is this gas?

3. Speaking of gas... He has suddenly decided he does not want to burp but then may spit up later after I put him down. What are your techniques for getting baby to burp?

4. How do you read introduce a pacifier at six weeks? Lactation consultant suggested taking the pacifier away at one week because he had latching problems. I feel like he's latching better now but doing lots of comfort nursing and I would like to get some sleep.
