what's the best kind of diaper bag to get??

i'm going to order my diaper bag soon but i'm having a hard time deciding which kind Not sure if I want either a backpack style or shoulder bag. What's more comfortable? and what would be better a smaller sized one or bigger?

I'm going to get one of each. Backpacks seem more convenient and less harsh on the body, but messenger style back seems better for longer excursions.

I'm pregnant with my third and based on my experience, backpack is the way to go. It doesn't hurt your back as much as over the shoulder bags and it's easier to handlewhen carrying the baby carrier and you dont have to worry about it slipping off. Im using a normal tactical backpack for this one and it has plenty of room and pockets.
