On Thursday I had a laparoscopy and was diagnosed with Endometriosis. After 6 years of excruciating pain, 2 years of painful intercourse, 6 doctors, a two week stay in the hospital last year, and multiple incorrect diagnosis, I know what I have.

I never thought such a devastating diagnosis could bring me such joy as this has. For four days now, besides surgical pain, I have been pain free. It is the first time in years I have woken up and not been in agony.

Sadly this disease is underdiagnosed and underresearched. There is no cure, and treatments are not guaranteed. Every case is different but all of us who suffer are warriors.

On Thursday I found out that I am an #EndoWarrior. I am #EndoStrong.
