Bottom rash??

My baby's bum is red! I bet it hurts. I've been using Butt Paste, but he's been having very runny poops. I don't know what to do!! He's 7 weeks old and this is the first time.

Get desitin extra strength it has more of the active ingredient than butt paste. It has to be the extra strength otherwise if it's the regular desitin it has the same amount as the butt paste. Leave baby with a diaper off to the open air for a bit just make sure and put a towel under. But Ultimately you need to figure out what is causing the diarrhea. Most likely it is just a viral infection and will need to run its course but make sure and call the pediatrician in the morning. Doing the extra strength desitin and the open air will help for sure in the mean time. When my daughter was in the nicu that is what they did for any baby that had a bad diaper rash. I use coconut oil... All the diaper rash creams for the most part have some type of alcohol in them which makes it worse.. Liam had very runny poops and no redness yet! Also he had very dry skin and lotion want helping so coconut oil all over and he loves it!! You can use any kind.. I use the organics... Just rub it into your hands to solidify it and rub it on.. I was worried about it staining his clothes but nothing so far

We use a+d ointment after every diaper and he hasn't gotten a rash. With big sister I used honest company healing balm when she would get rashes

Our doctor recommended vasoline and it has worked wonders to both clear it up and prevent it from happening again. Destin extra strength did nothing for my baby's diaper rash.
