Period Confusion

Girls. Today I got my period I think but now I'm getting really really terrified.. okay, so I wiped & I had red blood okay? Red. Now I have a pad on & it was red but it turned Idk it looks brown but IDK!! Now it's not! But when I wipe it is!! Wth is going on?! I have cramps but that's all I have. Can somebody please explain or something please I'm freaking out..
