Do you believe that we *choose* to love people?

I don't think you get to choose who you fall in love with, but I do think it is your own concious decision to continue to love that person and seek out a relationship with them

To an extent. I think if you want to stay in love with that person, it's a choice. But falling in love isn't a choice. 
Like my husband and I argue sometimes but we choose to work things out so we are able to keep loving each other.

I guess it just depends on your definition of love, but I believe we choose who, when and how to love.

I believe that we don't choose who we're attracted to. But I believe that it's a choice to continuously love someone each day.

I believe that you choose who to show that love to. You cannot control your emotions, but you can control your actions.

I look at love as dual-sided; the emotions/feelings and the outward expression. I do not think we choose to have the emotional side of love, but I definitely know that sometimes you must choose to act out of love even when you don't feel the emotion behind it. Particularly in a marriage relationship (or even in any close romantic relationship), I believe the consistent practice of choosing to act out of love can carry you through the rough times and bring about the return of the emotional side, in time.

I think we accept the love we think we deserve (romantically). 
I do think at times, we choose to love people (or feel obligated to) such as toxic family members. 
I think there are some people who need to be loved from a distance because while we can't help but to love them, they treat us badly. 
And then you have the best loves, the ones you don't choose- that just happen, your kids, and hopefully your spouse- those are the best loves.
