Any petite pregnant women out there?

Hello everybody. This is my first pregnancy and I'm about 6 weeks now. I'm extremely petite with a BMI 18.5. I read a lot of forums but it doesn't seem to answer most of my worries. I'm just wondering if there are any petite woman out there that we can share similar experiences and symptoms?

I've got the same BMI. I have 3 little ones and have never had an issue. The biggest Issue I have with a fast metabolism is making sure I eat and drink enough post birth to keep up my milk supply. I am very aware of what I need at this point though so it's no big deal.

How long are you? I'm wondering if you've experienced any symptoms in the early stages yet? I only have bigger boobs and nada.

My BMI with my second pregnancy was very close to this. I am closer to a 20 BMI this time around. Let me just say, it's totally okay to be petite if that is how you are built! Your baby should be just fine. Be sure you are getting all the nutrients your body needs while pregnant. Your body should go through the natural process of gaining the weight your baby needs during your pregnancy. For single baby pregnancies that's about 20-25 lbs. 
This may offer you reassurance: with my first pregnancy I was about 20-30 pounds overweight, and consequently only gained 8 pounds my entire pregnancy because that was all my body and baby needed me to gain. My second pregnancy I went from 115lbs to about 148-155lbs. (Idk my weight upon delivery since I don't have a scale).
Your body will know what to do and if you have any major nutritional concerns or fear you're not gaining enough weight then your doctor will be able to help you. Even if in the beginning you gain only 5 lbs or lose a little weight, you should start to feel better by the time you reach your second trimester and will be able to eat more at that time. During your first trimester make sure you find a good prenatal that doesn't make you feel sick so you can get the basics covered just in case you get too sick to eat much more than bland foods.
