Ginger/Honey wraps for cough??

My poor 6 almost 7 months old has a cough right now. I'm trying to find out if he's too young for these DIY wraps. Please leave comments with your thoughts!

Babies aren't supposed to have honey till at least 12 months.  Not about cooked honey but I'd ask a pedi first.
