Does this make me a bad Mom? (FTM)

Question

Is it looked down on to have my baby sleep in her crib from day one? My bedroom is right next to hers and we are also putting a day bed in the nursery in case I need to sleep in there sometimes. There will be no bumpers or pillows and the sheets are fitted plus the mattress can be raised and lowered.

My son slept in his own bed from day one. He was in our room but in his own bed. Not bad at all. Don't let people bully you into something.

You do what you need to my love! People will have opinions on everything you do! I think it's recommended they sleep near you for the first few months but if you want her inter next room, go for it xx

Nope, both my sons coslept but my daughter seemed disturbed by being in the room as new so we moved her to her own room around 2 weeks. She's 8 months now and actually a much better sleeper than her brothers were.

I read that it's recommended to have your baby sleep in your room for the entire first year. This statistically reduces the risk of SIDS. Do some research on it if you're not sure and then do what you think is best.

Our baby will sleep in her own bed from day one. But she will be in a cradle next to my bed and once she grows out of it, she will go to her room. My husband and I are awful to sleep with and we have dogs so even if I wanted to co sleep, it just wouldn't be safe for her.

If you have a safe way of hearing or seeing baby go for it.

Nope. Tons of parents start their baby from day one in their own bed.
As someone who has an almpzt 5 month old who is really bad at sleeping... i almost wish I had started her in her room.
