did you have labor signs before having your 2nd?

I had my first at 37 weeks exactly. I had diarrhea for a week and then my water broke and contractions started right away. I'm currently 37+5 with my second baby, but I am not having any of the same signs. I guess I lost some mucus plug over the weekend (still losing in bits), and I have been irritable, but other than that I feel like the end is nowhere in sight. Did you have any signs beforehand, or did you just go into labor one day? I don't know what it's like to go into labor without my water breaking so I'm nervous about that too. Whether it's contraction pain or just gas...

Remember that although you had your first early, you're still over 2 weeks away from a full, 40 week term. It could be awhile before you start to go into labor and trust me, when your contractions start... you'll know. The last two weeks are the hardest — they take forever!!

Contractions are quite obvious hun.  Tightening starting at the top of the uterus to the cervix at the bottom sometimes wrapping around your back partying 60 to 90 seconds occurring at equally spaced intervals.
