to tell everyone or to wait?

So I'm currently ttc and really hopeful about it. My boyfriend and I have talked and I basically just want to tell one close friend and family at first and wait until 12 weeks to really announce that were having a baby. He's not sure about it. I was wondering is there really any good way to announce? And is there any positives or negatives in waiting till 12 weeks?
