Best pads/underwear for after birth?

Hi all! I'm due the beginning of June (yay! 💕👶🏻), and I'm not sure what I need to prepare for after I give birth. What should I use for underwear and pads after I leave the hospital? Are there certain styles/brand that are most effective and comfy? And about how long until I'm back in my regular undies and have no need for pads? Thanks for any input!! 🤗

I went to depends.com and ordered a free sample. Its one per address so I am gonna ask my mom and sisters to get them too😂😂

I actually asked the hospital for extra mesh undies and pads (they have me a while huge pack of them) to take home. After I ran out of those I just used tim regular period undies with my regular pads until I stopped bleeding (about 3 weeks) 
So definitely get you some pads for home

Best thing I did was stock up on depends. I wound up with an emergency c section. I couldn't wear normal underwear for 3 weeks. Depends was the only thing that didn't rub my incension wrong. And I didn't have to worry about leaking.

I used Target up and up brand. They're cheap and I liked them because I wanted a super thick pad after giving birth and they were exactly what I was looking for.

Hospital sent me home with plenty of extra giant pads which was enough until I could move to regular sized ones. For underwear I used the mesh ones at the hospital and bought some cheap oversized ones for home.

I was told by mama friends to get Always Overnights with wings. The biggest ones you can find! It won't be glamorous but at least that kind should offer good protection.
I'm also just about to put witch hazel on a bunch to freeze. Hopefully that helps, too!
