how long do you wait if you don't feel movement?

How long would you wait before calling your doctor? 36 weeks and was feeling very strong movements over night. I've been up walked around, ate and had some juice but he hasn't woken up and moved around much. Usually at this time in the afternoon he's up and moving

The rule of thumb is 10 kicks every 2 hours.  Drink something cold and lay on your left side.  Focus on baby.  If you don't feel 10 kicks / stretches in that time frame call or go in.

My movements felt different starting around 36 weeks but I still got kick counts if I laid down and focused. Except now they feel like rolls and nudges not kicks and punches. I would call if you try to lay down and do kick counts and they aren't high enough.

Have a hot drink (like coffee) and a cold sugary drink (like Orange juice/cola) and Boyce about and lie on left hand side or which ever side you feel more on and focus on bubba for 20 or so mins after. If not reassured go get checked.

I am evil as cold cola usually makes bubba wake if having a lazy day BUT if not I've been to labour ward twice to be checked. They would rathe you get checked then something be wrong/you worry too much. If like me you will Get there, get wired up then bubba will go 'only trying to scare you mum' and do the biggest kick/movement ever and you'll feel silly for going in But it's always a good idea to get checked if worried 🙂

You need to relax and lie down and focus on him moving. If you're up and about you may not notice it as much. See how much you feel baby then. If after 1-2 hours it isn't as much as usual, then I would call.
