getting a job

So I just turned 16 and have been looking for a job. I was wondering if something like this oils be okay to send to a animal shelter asking if they are hiring. I went in and the woman there said she didn't know anything so she gave me the managers email. So I sent he this email.... Hello, my name is Blah blah and I am interested in becoming a volunteer. I just turned 16 and I am enrolled in a virtual school and so I have a lot of free time. I will be available to volunteer most weekdays from 1-5 and all day on most weekends. I am also currently looking for a job. I really love coming to the humane society and would love to work there even more. As I said, I will be avalible 1-5 (or later if needed) and all day most weekends. When I am finished with school, (late May) I will be available for work full-time. I am not sure if you are looking to hire, but if you are I would love to be a part of the association. If you are not hiring, I would still like to become a volunteer! Thank you!

Is this informal... I don't have a resume or anything I've never worked anywhere so I hope this is ok
