cutting hair

Has anyone cut their own hair? And did it turn out okay? I really need mine cut. But as as shitty as it sounds I really do not have 30+ to spend on myself for a haircut. If I did trust me I'd be going to a salon. But I need that money for my bills as I'm struggling with money now. And I don't know anyone who'd cut my hair for free or cheeper.
