When did you announce your pregnancy after a loss?

We've had a couple of experiences:
1st miscarriage: no one knew until after I was recovering, family was upset that I hadn't told them
2nd miscarriage: family knew as soon as I got the BFP, but they were upset that they then had to worry about me through the first trimester
3rd pregnancy/healthy daughter: family knew after first trimester, and they were confused and amazed that I hadn't told them earlier
4th pregnancy/3rd miscarriage: told family when I was in the ER, they were confused because they didn't think it was the right time for us to be trying for a second, and didn't know we had decided to try for a second (a. we weren't trying, b. We wouldn't announce it to them even if we were...)
I'm now pregnant for the fifth time (that's kind of heartbreaking to write...) and have no idea what to do. Part of me wants to tell them, part of me thinks I'll regret telling them.

I think everyone is different with the announcing after reading responses from a few different groups. I am 11 weeks with my rainbow after a 16 week loss, and the only people that know are my DH and my mom. I need their support most of all no matter how this pregnancy turns out. I'm not telling other close family until after a level 2 scan next month, because I could not bear to break their hearts again. Do what's best for you and your family <3

I had 4 miscarriage .. my 1st miscarriage was very excited I was 1 year looking for a baby (I have a child of 4 years) I told family and several people but 3 days later started to bleed, it was very hard my 2nd miscarriage was a month after the first I only told 3 people in my family but 3 days later started to bleed, this hurt me but I did not have to explain, my 3rd miscarriage was 6 months after the 2nd only I told some people in The family but 1 week later the same thing happened again and my last miscarriage was 4 months after the 3rd I started to bleed at 3 days but my pregnancy hormone continued to increase slowly, I always spent in the hospital and clinic checking as Everything was going but 2 weeks later I lost my baby my family and some friends knew about my pregnancy but I decided not to talk about it .. two months later I was pregnant again but this time I felt that everything was different at first I had to go to the clinic every week to check my hormones and make me ultrasound until they can hear the  first heartbeat now I am 16 weeks and 5 days and I feel my baby move .. With this pregnancy I started to tell the family nearby and little by little I said it to other people but it was not until about 3 months that everyone knew .. I lost my pregnancies before 6 weeks of pregnancy and after the first miscarriage happened I don't look for any more pregnancy these happened because I was not caring ... but with each one I was excited and scared at the same time but I left my pregnancy in God's hands and so far everything is going well ... my advice is when you feel ready to say your new pregnancy do it Nobody can force you to do or say something that you do not want and good luck with your pregnancy and have a healthy pregnancy these next 9 months

I think you should tell them when YOU feel like you want to tell them, not when you feel like they would want you to tell them. Whether you want to tell them immediately to have support in case something goes wrong, or wait until you're in the clear to say something, it is up to what you feel most comfortable with.
