Sugar bugs? Stork bites?

My daughter has a little blue vein between her eyes on the bridge of her nose... I've heard em called sugar bugs meaning the child may have digestive issues, may be sensitive to sugar and may be “high needs... and I've also heard of it simply being called a stork bite.. a simple birth mark.. opinions?

It's not a stork bite, they are red.

It's just a vein, Momma 🙂 don't read too much into it. It's likely just because the area is "thin skinned" as she grows it may disappear altogether. It's also more common in fairer skinned people to see veins more easily.

Midline defects (sugar bugs, sacral dimples, Mongolian spots, etc) are common. They can be indicators of problems, so if you notice issues, it can give you an indication of how to deal with them. But I don't believe that everyone with midline defects will have issues.

i know this is an old topic, but my son is almost 17 months and of course has had his since birth, he is and has been the easiest baby ever and has no issues with sugar!
