Dialation Progression

I know all pregnancies are different but I'm feeling hopeful for tomorrow. I had a Dr appt last week and my next one is tomorrow. Last week (36+4) I was told that I was dialated to 1cm. I'm hoping that tomorrow I will be told I'm at 2cm. I set up an induction date last week for may 8th and Dr said we can finalize it at my appt on may 3rd. I really want to finalize that date so I feel like if I haven't progressed that it wont happen. Have any of you ladies progressed in dialation from one appt to the next and how much was the progression?
