Braxton hicks as sign of when baby will come?

Hi mommas, I've been having really bad BH contractions regularly (several episodes per day) since 33w that are at best just uncomfortable tightening and at worst painful cramping contractions.

I'm currently 36+2 and wondering if other mamas who also experienced bad BH contractions ended up delivering before their due date, on time, or after the due date. Thanks in advance!

I started getting BH around 34 weeks, I think. I had my son at 39+4 weeks. He definitely wasn't ready to come when I start the BH in the beginning. Braxton Hicks is just the body's way of practicing for labor. It doesn't nessasarily mean that baby will be coming soon.

I sure hope not. I just started having them at 21 weeks 😣 baby needs to stay put a good long time

I had horrible bh from 28 weeks and on but it didn't mean she was coming any sooner i got induced on due date and was only a fingertip dilated.

If your feeling pain during the tightening that sounds like regular contractions. Could you give me detail on what it feels like..? I went to the hospital at 29 weeks with contractions due to dehydration. So I know what they feel like. If your feeling sharp pains during these that's it. BH should be painless. Just uncomfortable.
