rash or ringworm ?

My daughter has this on her thigh. Does anyone know what this is??

I have had ringworm before and it comes it patches. Depends on which strand of ringworm there is. And she says it's not itchy. Not bumpy. It's quite smooth. And it had small half circles around th area and then red dots through out

I think it is ring worm. I once mistook my ring worm (caught from a patient) for a rash but it ended up spreading all over my body. It took a second opinion to figure it out. I mean, is it itching at all??

I've had ringworm before and it's usually one big well defined circle. (Thanks, college dorm bathroom! 🙄)

That looks a little bit like my son's eczema. Have you tried hydrocortisone cream on it? I would try that first and if drying it out seems to make it worse then I'd switch to putting some coconut oil on it. If neither works, THEN I'd go see a doctor for an antibacterial and maybe a steroid cream.

I can see why you might think it could be ring worm.    I would get her in to have it looked at.  If it is ring worm it is contagious and she needs an antifungal medication.   Either way it can't hurt to have someone peek at it.
