On one of my dozen trips to pee overnight, it occurred to me that if I discover I am in labor at 2am like I did with my oldest (my water broke and she was breech, so I had to rush for an emergency c-section), I don't have a logistical plan for what to do with my 3 older kids (my middle two were adopted) if we need to rush to the hospital again this time! We don't have grandparents in town, and the few relatives/friends we have either work full time or have kids of their own to take care of.
