chasing cattle....

Jasmine
I know this isn't a traditional method to encourage labor, but I thought I'd take a page from little house on the prairie 😂😂
During the ice storm a heifer had a calf. My husband got the calf up to the barn, but the heifer was having nothing to do with her calf, or getting out of the mud. We couldn't get our atvs back there today, so we  had to run temporary fence and slowly encourage her out of the field  and into a pen.... I'm having contractions now and kinda hoping that things will start soon :)
That darn heifer wanted nothing to do with nursing her baby. Stinker kept kicking at her, but we did have an old sage in the next pen who let the darling latch on next to her own calf. Just imagine if our maternity wards were like this!!
