coconut oil?¿

Does coconut oil really work for stretch marks? I don't have many, but the ones I do have are think and dark. Mostly on my hips,back and tailbone area. I can't see the ones on my belly but once I have my baby I'll be able to see them. I'm not too concerned about it, I mean I had a baby, what do people expect. But if coconut oil works I definitely wanna try!

Coconut oil will help the healing process of your stretch marks by keelpng it moisturized. As of right now there's nothing that can guarantee the quick removal of stretch marks, so for now keep it moisturized with oils and after birth try mederma stretch mark cream or bio oil to help them fade. Results vary but it usually takes a year for them to become white and look less noticeable.

I wouldn't really say it gets rid of them or prevents them, but it does help with moisturizing for sure, I used coconut oil my whole pregnancy the last time I was pregnant and I got some on my hips, behind and thighs but I didn't get any on my belly, I used it all over my body too so I wouldn't say it prevents them but it definitely does wonders for your skin, I'll be using it this time around as well. But every woman's skin is different so it could have worked for some people!!😊

I can't say for sure if it prevented me from getting them but I've been using it for years. Before ever becoming pregant. I continued to use it through my first and didn't get any stretch marks and only got one with my 2nd. I used it everyday after babies and the one I got, was gone within 6 months. I'm pregnant with my 3rd and still have used it daily for about 5 years or so.  I'm only 26 weeks and haven't yet gotten a stretch mark with this pregnancy but I still have time. It does boost collagen production plus adds lots of moisture to your skin. It's also very healing and is supposed to be great for scars, burns and stretch marks.  So while it may not stop them, I'm sure it would be great to start and continue after baby is here :)
