Dog barking and crying while we have sex??

So last night my husband were trying to have sex and our new dog was barking and crying the whole time and it ruined the mood completely. It was really really hot up until the dog started crying. We finished and he stopped. Anyone else experience this problem? What do you do?

Have you tried crating him during? I'd crate him and throw a blanket over the crate.

You have to ignore it - or else he's going to learn that if he displays this behavior, he'll get attention from you. It doesn't matter if it's negative attention (saying "no!") or positive attention (you go to soothe him or stop what you're doing) - either kind will reinforce the behavior and make it worse.

Just keep in mind that the behavior will get worse before it gets better, that's called the extinction outburst. Right before the dog gives up on being a pain - he'll throw an absolute shitfit. After that, quiet.
