Might go over? might not?

Question

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow and obviously I'm having weekly visits now and my last visit the doctor checked my cervix and no dilation. I know she's head down but I haven't felt her drop at all and I haven't lost any of my mucus plug. Is that normal? Is it a possibility I'll go over her due date which is May 13th?

Anything is possible. I know people who walked around at 4cm dilated for weeks and even went past their due date and people who weren't dilated one day at their app but went into labor the next day. It can happen in the blink of an eye or it can drag on. There's no predicting it.

I am also due May 13th and had my 38 week appointment today. Baby is head down but hasn't dropped either. I haven't had any cervical checks because my doctor doesn't think they are necessary at this point as I am not showing any signs of labor. Yet, for some reason, he thinks he'll come early. I, however, think that I will go past my due date. We scheduled an induction for 40+3 in case I am right.

I have the same due date and at my last appt I was told I'm 1cm dilated but my cervix is still thick. Also, I've lost 2 small pieces of my mucus plug but not bloody show yet.
