Why do women complain about models so much?

Ok so I was veiwing an ad for fitness clothes.  The ad features bigger women.  Women were STILL complaining about the bigger women's clothing being too bright or unflattering.  My SO views male fitness ads and let me tell you there are NO fat men in it.  All the men are insanely fit and tight.  Do guys complain??? NO.  All this complaining about 400lb women not being included in every ad for fitness clothing is a bit annoying.  Any others agree?

Like, right now I am litterally 50lbs overweight.  Am I blaming society for not including my fat ass in a Fitness magazine?  NO.  My ass is not fit.....I will just go workout and eat right like a sane person does.  I just don't understand why this is so damn hard for women, mostly ,to understand.  There is a reason why a chubby 300lb, 5ft4 female isn't a model in a fitness ad.  I would tho,I this would be common sense.

Lol yeah. Females have based their beauty standards on media for a long time, because that's what we're taught we should look like. But ofc not everyone looks like a vogue model so diversity and representation matters for body types. I do think some people are way too sensitive about the topic however and unhealthy bodies shouldn't be praised, overweight or underweight. It's not something you should put out there because there'll be little girls looking up to these people. I'm so with you on this male thing, they're just clearly not as bothered. But media focuses way more on beauty idealistically for women and how contorted those ideals are and that's why we're so sensitive to the issue, guys just never had to deal with that problem

There's no uproar about plus sized men in magazines because it's not socially acceptable for men to be self conscious because that's seen as a feminine thing. Don't think that just because Bigger guys aren't represented that they don't have insecurities too. They're just not as open about it as women are.

i get why ppl have a problem if they're not including a variety of different body types to represent a variety of different women. but the bright colors? that's like they're just LOOKING for another problem lmao
