Question

How long did you know your spouse before y'all got married? How long were y'all in a relationship before making the decision? Who asked initiate the proposal? Did things change after you got married?

My husband and I have been together since we were 15 (2006). We got engaged in 2012, so six years in, we were 22, and got married in 2014 when we were 24. We got engaged by me saying the ring I wanted was on sale (Black Friday). We shook hands in my car after we bought it. Done and done. We aren't much for big displays of affection. It worked for us! Lol.

My husband and I began dating 6 years ago. He proposed on our 4th anniversary, something we had talked about for a while, he had the ring for a year before he popped the question. We got married on our 6th anniversary and are now 8 weeks pregnant with our first baby. Marriage isn't much different than when we were dating. We have lived together for most of our relationship so there hasn't been too many changes aside from growing our family. I can say I'm more in love now than ever before. I got really lucky with him, he treats me like I'm the only girl in the world.

I met my husband when i was only 14 in school and we never ever dated lol. We lost contact just after i jurned 16 until oct 2013. He was my bff and in 2013  October the 29 he called me after all those years of no contact and invited me to his mothers birthday party. Its like my world was swept away that night 22:37 when he took me back home and he kissed me and just there the rain started to come down. He asked me if i would take his heart and he take mine. On 25 December 2013 at 00:02 he went and took something out of the Christmas tree and went down and said i complete him and without us together forever he wont be anyone ever. I SAID YES !!!!! . We started dating in high school at 15. We always talked marriage and future because we were young and we always talked about what we wanted in life. We actually got engaged at 21 and married at 23, and have been married 6 years with a 2year old and one on the way.

Dated 3 years, mutually discussed marriage, getting engaged was no surprise as we became pregnant before proposal so we actually sat down together and picked a ring out. I knew the proposal was coming. Then 1 month after engagement we went through justice of the peace and got married and our first child is due next month. Me and him are both old souls and are traditional in many ways but neither of us wanted a lot of attention which is why we chose to be more "non-Chalant" (sp?) about everything. We would've gotten married sooner however we ended up buying a house first, etc. We knew we wanted to be together and would've had a wedding but once I got pregnant financial priorities changed which is why we opted for the civil ceremony
