Metformin success stories?

I was just put on metformin 1000mg for PCOS. Wanting to hear other people's experiences with it! Did you lose weight? Did it help any other symptoms (acne, facial hair, etc.)? Did you get pregnant or at least start ovulating? I've only just started taking it two days ago, and haven't had any side effects yet. What can I expect?

I was also put on metformin for PCOS! It definitely helped me lose weight and helped with hair growth and acne. However I wasn't able to ovulate on metformin alone. I  took letrozole to ovulate and got pregnant on my 4th try after that :) good luck!!

Well, I started taking it and testing for ovulation and was ovulating regularly on schedule. We were not really trying to get pregnant. I was prescribed 1000 mug but I was only taking my morning dose of 500mg, so not really even as much as I was supposed to.

Fast forward 7 months and I just found out I'm pregnant. Total shock, total surprise, totally not expecting it to be that easy and when we were not even trying none the less.

Long story short, it worked for my PCOS fertility no doubt.
