Use A&D for 3-5 days starting after the first time you wash it. Then continue washing it twice a day until it's fully healed and use non-scented lotion to keep it moisturizer.

That's what I've always done but your tattoo artist should be able to give you aftercare tips.

I use aquaphor for mine. A thin layer, uncovered.

They normally give you a little thing of it to put on for the first two or three days? Then I use it normally for the whole healing process or sometimes aquaphor and then when it's done peeling I switch to a non scented lotion
