😩 Nexplanon help

So I've been on Nexplanon for 2 years now. & when i say it's been the worst 2 years. I get my period every 2 weeks just about and at one time, it didn't come for an entire month. . I thought breakthrough was only supposed to last for the first year. It ruins my sex life so much! Had a doctors visit about my concerns & she said that it's normal. It's never heavy flow, but it lasts up to damn near 8 days! & I don't want to get off of it because the main reason I'm on it was because of my heavy periods prior to getting it.  😩 I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. . & if so how did you deal with it? I know getting off of it will probably make things better but I just can't go back to cramps, nauseous feelings, or bitchy. Lol
