switching from depo to pill!

Hello! I have been told to take a break from the depo injection, i have started my pill from today (which is the day I'm due my shot) I normally get light bleeding the week that I'm due for my shot but I've had nothing! Am I safe to have unprotected sex for this week? We can't keep our hands off each other just because we know there's a risk of me getting prego (frisky I know)
