Paying Husband back?
Okay so I am genuinely curious what y'all do in your marriages? I am a stay at home mom so the only "income" I get is baby bonus from the government once a month and I put the majority of it in my daughters savings account. For the last two years whenever I wanted to get something whether it be some home decor items or maybe even a new shirt or something i would ask my husband for money and get what I wanted/needed. I would always pay him back out of that baby bonus, cause it's the only source of income I have personally. Someone said to me today that I shouldn't have to pay him back especially if it's coming from the baby bonus money. She said her husband just gives her spending money. We don't have joint accounts and I guess I never thought about it differently other than today. What are your thoughts?
*Sorry I wasn't exactly sure what group to put this in.
**UPDATE: Baby bonus is known formally as The Canada Child Tax Benefit and it is given to Canadian parents/families who make less than 80k. The more money you make the less credit you get. You can use it for whatever you like, many families put the money in a savings account for the child's future or just use it monthly for diapers, clothes etc. It is given until your child turns 18.
