Is a diaper service ($111/mo) cheaper than disposables?

Question

I'm looking for moms opinions on this. I live in Canada and I'm wondering what anyone thinks would be cheaper- to pay for a diaper service of $111 per month and then they deduct $10 after the first year, or to just use disposables. The service I would be using is called happy nappy cloth diaper service. Is it cheaper than disposables ? 32+4 and still can't decide what to go with. Washing our own diapers isn't an option. We would just have to rent or buy the covers.  Thanks!!

you could just buy 200-300 dollars worth of cloth and not have a monthly fee, wayyy cheaper. $111 a month seems way too expensive. And theres been no difference in my water bill, maybe 2 or 3 dollars a month.

Disposables will never cost you more than $111/month. I'm not sure why washing cloth diapers isn't an option for you, but that's way too expensive in my opinion.

the largest box of pampers diapers is 40 dollars and lasts a month and a few days.

I personally think it's kind of gross to go through diaper service I don't know why I buy used diapers and I treat them myself and I use special cleaner because my son has allergies to certain fragrances and soaps I think it's definitely a lot cheaper just to wash them yourself and it really is not as bad as you think I looked up a bunch of different videos on how to clean Diapers at home online and YouTube

I used a service for the first 4 months. 38 per week. It was much more expensive even if you buy natural disposable diapers. I purchased some prefolds and a few AIO and I started washing my own. I use a laundromat to wash and it's about 1.75 per wash and I wash them twice and about 1.75 to dry. I wash about every 3 days. If i could afford the service I would still use them. I think it was good to have the service for the first few months and now that I got that hang of this whole FTM thing, washing doesn't seem so overwhelming.

Just buy and wash them. That's way too expensive. If money is not an issue and you want to use cloth over disposables for environmental and health reasons then do the service. But I'd say you're going to pay the same or less for disposables but then they just all end up in the landfill and that's money lost. A stash can be paid for with that $100+ and last you multiple kids. Any reason you don't wash them yourself?

Look at cottonbabies.com. You can buy their Indian cotton prefolds for 12 for $18 (infant- newborn) or 12 for $21 (regular large newborn up to 4-6 months). They're the ones I use and the quality is awesome!! I love their prefolds. I've tried different brands and I found these to be the best and you can't beat the price. Cotton Babies also sells Flips and those covers are incredibly affordable and just so perfect (7-35+ pounds per cover).
