As a government employee who's pay depends on no shutdown, I see he should go F himself. Most federal employees are just doing regular jobs that don't impact the shit going on in congress. Most federal jobs pay less than the same private sector jobs or jobs requiring the same education. There are obviously perks to working for a government agency. The constant threat of shutdown not knowing if we will be paid isn't one of them. Shut down congress because no one making buckets of money can get it together long enough to compromise. Stop punishing working families who depend on the pay. Those higher up are so out of touch with the working class

He is willing to shut our government down because he doesn't get his way, that is scary. He has also talked about changing the rules of Congress and reducing the power of the judicial branch.
