My sweet little man gave me a scare💔❤️
This little boy is only 10 weeks 5 days old and he's already had terrible scary experiences! He's scared his momma to death. He got diarrhea at 6 weeks and 4 days and I took him to the ER after noticing it was watery and I just had a bad feeling. The hospital blew it off and we waited 4+ hours for them to see him. Finally I freaked out about the wait cause I wasn't feeling right. By then he was so sick and dehydrated and lethargic I threw a fit and made them work on him. They called lifeflight to transfer him to a children's hospital. They told me to gather myself so I could go with him and I still don't know how I quit crying but I knew I had to so I could be with him. This sweet boy had 30+ iv pokes because they couldn't find a vein because they made us wait for 4.5 hours and I was the only reason they finally looked at him. 5 failed spinal taps to test for meningitis. Two IO's because his veins shrunk up and they HAD to get an iv. My poor boy was sick and in pain from being poked so many times, and he about died because a crappy small town hospital didn't triage correctly. After getting to the children's hospital they called in an iv team to get an iv and remove his IO. I was so exhausted and bawling. Me and my little boy arrived by helicopter 3 hours earlier than his daddy. I just held him and loved on him because I was so afraid of losing him. I prayed for them to finally get a vein and that wonderful team got one thank god. The staff was so surprised that I held him and helped them because it was so terrible to watch but I was not leaving him. We stayed a week at primary childrens to find out he just had a really bad flu that made him crash. We had to stay and get him to start eating because he was refusing to eat cause his tummy hurt so bad and I about lost my milk from all the stress and not even thinking to pump. I am so glad I trusted my gut feeling that night over one poopy diaper and I'm so thankful for the lifeflight team. I can't remember anyone's name cause of how scared I was of losing my baby over the hospitals stupid mistakes and thanks to the wonderful team at primary childrens I am so thankful for them. I am so thankful my sweet Draeger is all better and here todayđź’• I wouldn't be here without you little man that was the scariest experience and I'm glad you're eating like a champ and a happy boy nowđź’•đź’™
