Birth Control and overweight?

My plus size ladies! What do you guys recommend/use for birth control being amazingly curvy 😍 I know people say shy away from the patch. I have never taken birth control but I am trying to get an idea before getting on some. Thanks 😘😘

I've been on oral birth control for 6 years and have always had some problems with estrogen sensitivity. Just switched to the nuvaring after a horrific attempt with an iud and I have loved it. Lower dosage of hormone and you don't have to take a pill every day. I'm a curvy lady too, but haven't had any trouble. I've worried about the birth control being less effective due to my size but my doctor said she wasn't concerned. I've used hormonal birth control only (no other back up) and haven't had any scares.

At my heaviest I was 180, currently 165. I've done pills, depo and an iud. Pills work great for me and we don't use condoms. Depo made me gain weight, used to be 125. Iud was good until it fell out
